Strawberries!

Hey ALDI has strawberries on sale for $0.99/ea this week! I've been waiting for a sale like this so I could stock up and make strawberry jam. So I just made up a couple batches. Yum! Happy strawberry season!

They're also on sale for $1.49/ea at Pick n Save today (not sure about starting tomorrow).

Childcare Position

I was at the park this morning and came across a nice woman with a son.  As we got to talking, she asked me if I knew of any good daycare programs or of any moms who would be interested in watching her 13 month old son in their home.   It would start this fall.  I don’t know what the pay is, but I told her I would ask around and see if there was any interest.  Consider this my asking around.  If you or anyone else you know is interested, contact her directly.  Her name is Jenny and her email address is jlellis@uwm.edu

Peaches!

I know it’s still a couple of months away, but I wanted to make sure the word got out.  If anyone is interested at all in canning peaches this summer (or just eating them), you have to check this company out – www.tree-ripe.com.  I bought 3 boxes of peaches from them last year and will be buying at least that many again this year.  They are straight from Georgia and they are seriously the best peaches I have ever tasted.  I’m counting down the days until they come!

Milwaukee Perks

Hey there are a couple good deals on Milwaukee Perks today. First is half off at Betty Brinn's (4 tix for $12). I like these because we only go there a couple times a year anyways - not enough to justify a membership.

Another deal we like is a half off to Nino's Italian Bakery in Menomonee Falls (spend $5 get a $10 gift certificate). They have great sandwiches and all kinds of bakery items.

You can find both deals at this link: http://bit.ly/fbNwcj (The Betty Brinn deal is in the side bar on the right).
